Sears Art Museum

The Robert N. and Peggy Sears Art Museum, located in the Delores Doré Eccles Fine Arts Center on the Utah Tech University campus, serves as a space for both enjoyment and education for Utah Tech students and the community. From traditional styles to more abstract expressions, the Sears presents a wide range of exhibitions, showcasing professional and student artists alike. In addition to rotating exhibits, the University maintains and exhibits a significant permanent art collection. The premier event of the year is the Sears Invitational Art Show and Sale, which runs mid-February through the end of March. This popular regional event, which serves as the museum’s only fundraiser, annually features art from more than 100 of the best and brightest artists of the American West. A must-see St. George tradition.  

 

Just outside the Eccles Fine Arts Center is the Kathryn Lloyd Richards Sculpture Garden. This serene space features meandering walkways, a tranquil reflection pool with a waterfall, lush vegetation, and striking sculptures. It is a peaceful setting for students and community members to enjoy quiet reflection and conversation.
